Waiting

I am sitting home waiting for an insurence adjuster to get here. When he called yesterday, he said he would call when he gets near but didn't know around what time. That is very annoying. When Glenn and I were in NY this past weekend, a woman hit our car. It wasn't much of an accident, but there is some damage to the car. The lights on the right side shattered, (although luckily not the casing) and there are scratches all underneath the light, and some water is leaking in the sides of the windshield. But, no one was hurt, and the woman who hit us was very nice, and took full responsability for the accident, which is right, but it's always nice when there is simple honesty. So, now I am waiting for a man who will look at the car, estimate the damage, and probably give me a check then and there so we can go for the repairs. It's a pain 'cause I am worried about driving too far without a blinker, but hopefully we wont be without the car for too long. The insurence company offered to pay for a rental car or other alternate transportation, but we don't really want to bother with that unless we really need to.
Otherwise, I had a very nice weekend in NY. Glenn and I got to spend time with two of our closest friends, which is always nice. The evening ended with a migraine for me, but even then I decided it was worth it.

Well, the adjuster came and inspected the car. He figures $1,002 for repairs. Yikes! Thank goodness for car insurance. I mean, I look at it, and it looks like nothing is wrong. This man looks at it and gives me a list with 30 things on it that are going to get done. I don't really care about anything besides the light. When it comes down to it, there are only scratches on the bumper. Ahhh well. Whatever.

Hanging out with Sophie a little tomorrow. Should be nice. We don't really get to have much girl time. We're usually hanging out with Sean and Glenn, which is nice too, but sometime girls just need to gab alone about things that guys would fall asleep listening to. Like make-up, clothes, whatever comes up I guess. In the meantime, I bought invitations for her baby shower yesterday. I hope to mail them out this weekend. I'm looking forward to it, though. I have never had the opportunity to throw one before, and it's exciting, although small.

Glenn and I are still enjoying Netflix. Last night we watched Mario Brothers, which neither of us had seen for years. We both forgot just how silly it was. But it was still fun. Sometimes you just have to be silly. Besides I miss having the confidence to do and say silly things all the time. I mean, I have lost quite a bit of self confidence. I used to have no problem with hugging and kissing Glenn in public. Now, I pull away. And it's not because I love him any less, but because I am less secure with myself. Hopefully I can refind myself someday. Would be nice. I kinda miss the person I used to be.
