Mar. 20th, 2004 10:16 amWent out to the mall with Glenn last night. Mostly just to walk around, but I also wanted to pick up a few things. I would have enjoyed it a lot more if I hadn't gotten slammed with one of my migrains. I haven't had one in a bit, and so it was completely unexpected, and strong, with the full range of my normal symtoms. So, as soon as we got home I went to bed. And still I don't know what triggered it.
Today is kinda a spring cleaning day. We probably shoulda started earlier, but it's really hard to motivate either of us on a Saturday morning. But, we get to clean closets, and move furniture so we can vacuum under them. Should be ... well, maybe not fun, but it's been planned, so no backing out. :-P
For the first time ever I am actually looking forward to gaming weekend with a bit of excitement instead of nervousness. Anyone who knew me before I moved to Massachusetts would be wondering if I had gone batty. The reason I was always nervous about gaming weekend, and other similar group gatherings, as Glenn pointed out a number of times was because I was afraid to meet new people. I know, since when? Where's the Cat who used to trot up to people with a smile and an introduction with not a bit of fear. I think I realized that not everyone is as accepting of my physical appearance as my friends always were, and I was afraid to relly on first impressions. I think I am still a little scared, but not nearly as much. I am feeling much more confident. So, I am looking forward to having a good time playing board and card games, and anything else I can get into.
