Apple picking Sat 10/4
Oct. 2nd, 2008 03:00 pmGlenn and I are going apple picking this Saturday at the Nashoba Valley Winery. They have a nice sized orchard, and a really nice winery that specializes in fruit wines. They also offer wine tasting. Picking is from 10AM-5 PM. We plan on being there around 1PM if anyone else wants to pick apples.

Cortland
Macoun
Jonathan
Spencer
Cox Orange Pippen
RI Greening
Mutsu
Very Limited McIntosh
and their prices are currently $12 per peck and $18.00 per 1/2 bushel (which is a little pricey but I still prefer them to other orchards I have been to).
So, yeah, we're going, and then I am going to make apple pie.
