Candy's Surgery

I am in NY because my sister had back surgery for her scoliosis yesterday. The surgery itself went very well, with no complications. I was at the hospital with her from 7AM until about 5:30. She was in so much pain though. Expected, but it was so hard to see her like that. She was crying, and kept asking why it doesn't stop hurting even though they gave her pain killers. Every time she dozed her breathing slowed down too much so we had to keep waking her up while she was in recovery to make her breathe. This is very common with morphine. She will be in the hospital until at least Friday. I will be going to see her again each night this week. I am planning on being home Saturday afternoon if she is doing well.
