23 and counting....

Happy Birthday to me, Happy Birthday to me, Happy Birthday to meeeeee, Happy birthday to me! :-D Yep, it's my birthday and I am 23. My sister is here visiting which is nice. I had all these fears of being alone for my birthday, and now I don't have to worry about that at all. :-D Glenn decided to stay home from work and take me and Candy to the zoo, and Greg and Sophie are coming. (Sean's gotta work) Sophie is bringing William. It will be his first time to the zoo. I'm definately bringing my camera. I alreay got my birthday gift early from Glenn... A new car. He bought me a Chevy Malibu Maxx. I really really really love it! It's the malibu in a hatch-back. It's got a V-6 engine, folding rear seats, and a folding front seat. It's gonna be great for our camping trip this week. I'm happy. Now, there us a story as to why I got the new car. On the way to NY last weekend the Bravada died. I was driving along when the car started to slow down and it didn't do anything when i hit the gas. I had barely enough time to get off the road. But we got towed to a garage and the guy called Monday to say it was the fuel pump and it would cost $780 to fix it. Also, the motor on the windshield wipers had gone before that and that was going to cost another $200. Glenn and I decided the car wasn't worth it anymore, and we were done dropping money into it. So, that's where the new car came in. In more happy news I had gone for a job interview a week ago for a legal administrative assistant position and yesterday I had to go back for a second interview. Soon after I got home, they called me and told me I got the job. I start on July 7. It's $12/hr, full time, so it will be nice. I am so incredibly excited!!! Oh, also for my birthday my sister gave me a hands-free headset for my new cell phone, and Glenn gave me a memory card for my camera. Glenn and I are leaving for our camping trip tomorrow and wont be back until after the 4th of July. I think this is going to be great!!! It's so very exciting, everything. Anyway, I should run. People will be here soon for zoo and I haven't even taken my shower yet. Glenn made breakfast for me this morning. He set off the smoke alarm, and my sister and I had to wave a pillow in front of it to shut it off. :-P It was all good fun.

You'll have to let me know about the job, it has the word "legal" associated with it so it's got to be something nifty and interesting (Ok, so I'm just expecting maybe you'll get to work on something that goes before a Supreme Court, which would be intriguing!).

I can't keep birthdays straight anymore, the only reason I remember mine's coming up is because a few people keep bugging me "What do you want for your birthday?", I tell them I don't care, it doesn't matter, and they bug again! Aaagh!

But at least I have an excuse to feel egotistical for a moment. ;)
